 How to write  FORMAL LETTERS | NOTICE | ADVERTISEMENT | LETTER TO EDITOR | COMPLAINT LETTER | ARTICLE for CBSE ENGLISH GRAMMAR CLASS 10th to Class 12th.

Many students face some major problems while writing Formal letters like LETTER TO EDITOR, COMPLAINT LETTERS, etc. and other compositions in English Grammar like  NOTICE Writing, ADVERTISEMENT Writing, ARTICLE Writing, etc.

The major problem faced by them is regarding as to HOW TO START THE FIRST PARA OF ANY PRECIS WRITING IN ENGLISH GRAMMAR ?

In this post we will focus primarily on this aspect of writing compositions in English language.💥




The main purpose of writing a composition in English or in any language is describe an event it, an experience, a thing or a fact. This composition may contain the views, ideas and opinions of the person who is writing the composition. The inputs which the writer elaborate further maybe visual or or verbal. 

But in in our CBSE board examinations the students have to to observe certain limits of words, time and even space in there answer copies. Usually the students in CBSE board examination are supposed to write their compositions in about150-200 words expressing their views or descriptive/ narrative content of the subject provided in the question. The information given in the question is not sufficient students have to develop the composition they are writing with their own opinions, suggestions, thoughts etc. Hence, my first tip to you is " to develop your own ideas and viewpoints out. 

General guidelines while writing long compositions in English. 

1. Carefully study and try to decipher the main theme of the question with the help of hints/ points/keywords given in the question. 

2. Arrange the keywords/theme in your mind or or you can also draw a rough format on the backside of your answer sheet. 

3. Now, organize all your ideas with the keywords given in the question. 

4. Elaborate the keywords given in the question or which you developed keeping in mind the word limit mentioned in the question. 

5. If possible try to substantiate your points with reasoning, facts, relevant data or simply any suitable example. 

6. Do not disclose/write your ideas in the first paragraph, try to maintain a suspense for the reader. 

7. Do not  make major as well as silly grammatical mistakes. 

8. There must be no or minimum spelling errors.

9. Always use proper and known format.

10. Conclude your composition on a positive note with a solution oriented mindset. 

TIPS AND TRICKS FOR BOARD EXAMS :-💪👇

1. Prepare model answers for articles, speeches and reports. Because the format is is always same.

2. Always be ready with general themes which are asked by CBSE like water conservation, pollution, women, girl child, sports, yoga, lifestyle diseases, etc. 

3. Also prepare model answers for current affairs themes. 

4. Do not write all your value points in the first paragraph only. 

5. If you are not getting more value points then and elaborate a point with examples.

6. Always exceed word limit with 20-30 words.

7. If your grammar is weak then try to write complex sentences as in simple sentences the grammatical mistakes are visible more clearly.

8. Do not make mistakes of the spellings. 

9. If you don't know no the word-meaning then write its nearer synonym. 

10. In the end of your writing include the main theme of the article, speech or whatever you are writing.
